The website and chat rooms are now HTML5 compliant

We have upgraded our website to the new HTML5 web standard by switching our theme and look to another WordPress theme that is written in HTML5. What this means for our users is no matter which internet connected device you come to our website with you should get a webpage that is designed for your device. It also means our chat rooms are now able to be used by smartphones and other mobile devices such as tablets as well as the old fashioned desktop. And it should mean no matter which browser your using you will be able to see our media we provide here on our website instead of getting error codes or just blanks. Of course this means a lot more to us on the back end and admin side as well but i know you don’t really care about that stuff so I will pause here on those subjects.

When any website passes the validator on the W3C website you get a code like the one below to show off on your website that it passed, which is pretty cool.

“Congratulations

The document located at <http://www.chateno.com/> was successfully checked as HTML5. This means that the resource in question identified itself as “HTML5” and that we successfully performed a formal validation of it. The parser implementations we used for this check are based on validator.nu (HTML5).
Linking to this result

If you would like to create a link to this page (i.e., this validation result) to make it easier to revalidate this page in the future or to allow others to validate your page, the URI is <http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.chateno.com%2F> (or you can just add the current page to your bookmarks or hotlist).”

So we hope you will enjoy the new mark up and abilities it provides if you have any questions or comments about the new code or its abilities please leave them here on this post, thanks!
